The regional office of Pro Helvetia in Cairo has been working for more than 20 years in the region. In the past years, Pro Helvetia has been focusing on the residency exchange programme, offering a great opportunity for interested artists to get in contact with the local art scenes.

Years of Residency
Pro Helvetia is pleased to announce the release of its first residency publication, “Years of Residency”. In this book, Swiss and Arab Artists who have been part of the program, share their personal and artistic experiences during and after residencies.

Interactive Art Workshop
Modern technology has motivated artists to make artworks, which have the potential to stimulate an interactive communication with the spectators. Swiss artists Marc Lee, Shusha Niederberger and Alexander Tuchacek will coach nominated Egyptian artists in an interactive art workshop to execute interactive artworks and help overcome the technology-related inconveniences.
